Meeting the Spanish Lombre

It was during the first year that Lexa lived with Melanie. Her 13th birthday would be next month, but she wasn't really worrying much about it. It was a peaceful time, and Lexa was enjoying every last second of it with Melanie. Since the beginning of September, though, Melanie had started going back to school. Summer Break was over, and Lexa was left home alone. She had been with Melanie since her birthday in June, when school got over. Now without her, Lexa looked around like any normal Skitty would do, and she decided to check out teh garden behind their house.
When she walked outside, the sun was shining, and a Beautifly or two floated lazely in the air. It was a calm day to be outside, and Lexa liked the air there more than in Route 116, where the thick grass and trees didn't really let any sun through. She padded through the soft grass, just roaming around, when she noticed a looming figure beside a pond. It wore a brown poncho with orange blocks lining the top and an orange strip along the bottom. However, the figure was at least 2x bigger than Lexa, and she was a little intimidated by its size.
Noticing another presence, the Lombre turned around and looked at Lexa with lazy eyes. "Hmm?" he hummed at her in curiosity. Her ears flattened against her head in fear. The Lombre then took his right hand and placed it over his poncho where his heart would be. "Ay, do not be frightened, muchacha," he said in a very laid-back Spanish-accented voice. Lexa sat down, still a little scared but more comforted by his calm voice. "I did not mean to scare you. I have only come for some water." He gestured towards the pond behind him.
She nods her head, ears lifting up a little as her initial fear went away. "D-Do you always come here, mya?" she asked the Lombre.
He nodded his head. "Sí, muchacha. You see, I am travelling around this region, and this jardín has the best water." Lexa nodded her head slowly, not knowing what a 'jardín' was. The Lombre blinked and translated, "'Jardín' means 'garden' in your language, I believe." Lexa smiled a bit and nodded her head in agreement.
Then the Lombre spoke, "Ay, where are my manners? My name is Pablo. I come from the humble town of Oldale." He bowed in a gentlemanly manner before asking, "Who might you be, muchacha?"
Lexa replied, "My name is Lexa." She bowed her head in respect. Then she asked, "Where is this town of Oldale, mya?"
Pablo answered, "It would be quite far from here, muchacha. In fact, it would be on the other side of this region."
Lexa gaped in awe, though her eyes didn't open. Instead, her ears were perked up in full alert. "I didn't know that there was more to this place than just my home here," she thought aloud.
Pablo nodded his head, crossing his arms underneath his poncho. "Sí, this is not the only city found in this region. There are more than ten others around también, as well." She looked up at the sky, thinking of how the other places were like. Pablo then said, "Ay, you are a very curious Skitty, no?" He chuckled a little when Lexa leaned her head to one side as she looked back at him. "Curious is good, but caution is better. As the saying goes, 'Curiosity killed the Meowth,' no?" Seeing Lexa's confused look on her face, he continued, "You are still young, muchacha. You will learn the meanings of these words over time. For now, you should learn much of the world around you.
"Ay, as for me, I should be going." He uncrossed his arms, turned around, and started walking away. "Adiós, muchacha. May we meet again sometime."
Lexa stared after him and shouted, "Good bye, Pablo!" Then she was left alone to her own thoughts.
